Description
An arctic wolf looks out over the tundra from his vantage point, waiting for signs of the caribou herd.I wanted to try several different techniques with acrylic while trying to learn how to paint, and this is what came out of that experimentation. This is NOT a digital piece, but a real acrylic painting currently in a private collection.
The original is a 23" X 39" acrylic painting on Illustration Board

you can tell the obvious differences from it and the deviant didn't give credit to golden wolf in that way the deviant gave it in an inspiration way

I think the only thing I don't like about this is the DD Comment where it calls this creature a werewolf. >_> obviously someone needs to look up the definition of a werewolf...
In any case! I actually stopped back by here because I found a link to a shirt... [link] ... and it wasn't until I saw you licensed it for TheMountain, and catfancygifts seems to be an authorized retailer of TheMountain t-shirts, that I realized no art theft was happening. XD Good to know. Was about to get all .. torch and pitchfork on some people.
Still, coming back and looking over your images fills me with a profound sense of happiness. I love your work, and I always have. I love watching you progress, too.

This is BY FAR the most beautiful piece I have seen on DA and other art sharing websites. It takes talent -REAL TALENT- to make a traditional piece look like a digital piece. This is amazing; from the fur detail to the perfect anatomy. I love this piece, and wish to see more like this.

Omg, i finally found it.
When i was younger, i found this picture on Google images and i printed it off and stuck it to the bottom of my top bunk bed, so when i fell asleep i could look at it. It stayed up there for 5 years, until 2008 when i had to move, and i lost it. I tried to print it off again, but i never found it.
This picture got me into drawing and made me want to be an artist.
Thank you so much for making this picture, without this picture, i don't think i ever would have started drawing, and would have never made deviant and fur Affinity accounts, and would have never met my other artist friends, as well as my current boyfriend.
This piece is beautiful, and now that i've found it, i plan on ordering a print of this from your shop online, as soon as i can.
Thank you once again, for making this and making me who i am today, even if you didn't realize it
