Description Due to some real life happenings and a shortage of time for the foreseeable future, I've decided to back out of this fawn bid. Someone else deserves to have a chance to play this lovely character too <3

I first need to apologize because I tried for days to get this little beauty's white markings right, but I think they're not quite the same as they are on the original import design. I'm very, very sorry! If you would like for me to try a little bit harder, please let me know and I'll go back to work on this gal.

I also tried a completely different style for this picture because I wanted to make it look as pretty as possible- so no awkward lines! Completely painted; it took a looonnnngggg time, but I think it came out pretty well.

"We must be quick now, before anyone happens by us," Valyx whispered urgently into his mate's ear while casting sideways glances into the darkness laying at the edges of the forest. His hide twitched in his nervousness and he had to steel himself against the reality of what they both were about to do. Normally he was a brave stag who scarcely flinched, but now he was acting as though he were a lamb cowering before the teeth of a wolf. He found that he was eager to be done with this task and return to his den near the expanse of the Glenwood and put this all behind him.

There was a long moment of silence between he and his mate; the only sounds that could be heard in the black forest were the shrill chirps of crickets in the long grass and the casual ghostly call of owls in the tree tops. Though they were normal sounds that held no hints of danger, they may as well have been the roars of lions.

Finally, Chryssin spoke up, but her voice was watery and fragile. "I don't know if I can do this. I can't... After everything that's happened? Why?" Tears fell down the doe's face and she had to blink them away with a sniff. Before her mate could form an answer, she spoke again. "The Swan Queen has returned to us... Oganach has come back to help us, and we have been forgiven... So why, after everything that's happened, have I been cursed so cruelly?" Her voice broke on the last sentence and she looked away into the depth of the shadows, avoiding eye contact with her beloved and the small fawn who lay curled at her feet as well.

Valyx knew there was no answer, at least not one that would appease his mate's aching heart. He scrambled internally for something that would comfort her, but in the end he could only sigh and attempt to nuzzle her. She pulled away though, sniffling again and looking up at him with a deep regret in her eyes. He could barely see her face save for what was lit by silvery dappled moonlight, but he knew the worried lines by heart without needing to witness them.

"We can try again... We will try again. I will go to the King if you wish for his blessing and beg Oganach himself for forgiveness for whatever it is that I have done to anger him, but I will make this right. I promise you, we will have a child worthy of our love and the God's blessing... I swear." His voice was fast and passionate, breath blowing hot across the doe's face.

Before Chryssin could answer, the fawn at their feet stirred and let out a very soft, nearly inaudible bleat. It struck them both right through the hearts, leaving them fumbling. Neither parent could bring themselves to look down at the fawn that Chryssin had birthed. She was just too... there were no words for it. Cursed? Hideous? Wrong?

"Come," Valyx said suddenly, building up his determination once more. His voice was so unexpectedly demanding, Chryssin flinched involuntarily. Despite his firmness, there was only the briefest hesitation from her, and she asked, "What will happen to it once we are gone?"

Valyx flexed his jaw and looked past her, into the shadows around them, studying the inky blackness. "We can only hope that death will come quickly in whatever form it chooses to take. It won't be long though; the child will not suffer," he reassured. Before anything else could be said or they both lost their nerve and resolve, he nudged Chryssin with his sturdy shoulder, pushing her forward.

But this time as they began walking, instead of her coaxing the fawn into following them as she had done when they left the safety of their den before nightfall, she did not pay the doeling a single glance. Both dam and sire vanished into the night as though they were nothing more than ghosts, leaving the filly alone and lost.

Name: Vilain (literally means "unsightly" or "hideous")
Nickname: "Dove" (by foster parents); "Snaggle" (by bullies)
Gender: Doe
Age: 0 years old (to be born in July- Summer, Year 759)
Height: Projected to be 9.2hh
Build: Light-Medium
Phenotype: Piebald Grey (Sooty Bay)
Genotype: Ee/Aa/StySty/Ff/pipi/nMt/nMb
Eye Color: Coppery Brown
Design Sheet: Number 2

Baubles/Physical Characteristics: Vilain has a very unfortunate look about her: not only is she a dark Glenmore doe, which is generally undesired, but she is oddly marked as well, being one of the first few piebald fawns to exist in the Isles. Unfortunately for this sweet little girl, the negative traits don't stop there. Vilain also suffers from an obvious jaw misalignment, giving her a severe overbite that many other fawns and adults alike feel to be unsightly and many refer to her as ugly or an abomination. Some even fear her. Vilain tries to make up for her appearance by decorating herself with flowers and pretty trinkets, desperately hoping others will see past her physical characteristics.

Glenmore is not a herd known for their open-mindedness or acceptance of the strange and unheard of. Though these piebald markings may seem pretty to another's eyes, they have never been seen in Glenmore before since the herd was first formed. Others see it as unnatural and strange- why is this filly colored so oddly? They are nothing like the common fawn markings that are seen all around the Isles, which is why many find it hard to accept.

Trivia/Random Character Facts:
- Vilain has a jaw misalignment and an overbite, thanks to her piebald mutation/genetics
- She is called "Dove" by those who know her well because of her very soft nature
- Vilain has a crippling fear of sea turtles; everything about them frightens her
- Vilain has OCD and a stress disorder, probably made worse by her abandonment
- Her jaw misalignment and overbite give Vilain a lisp when she speaks and if she is speaking too quickly, it is hard to understand her

Personality:

Submissive, soft, innocent, passionate, curious, intelligent, caring, shy, fearful, OCD.

It is very unfortunate, but Vilain has been aware all of her life that others do not see her as acceptable, much less pretty. She remembers her parents' abandonment and hears what the other herd members whisper about her both behind her back and straight to her. Her status in the herd, a commoner and a darkling, and a "freak", has resulted in her being a very subordinate soul. She will not challenge anyone no matter what wrong they may direct towards her, and she only wishes to blend in and not be noticed. If someone would give her a chance and look past her strange appearance, they would see that she has a heart made of gold big enough for everyone in the world.

Nature has a way of gifting someone extra of one thing to make up for what they lack in others. For Vilain, this would be intelligence in place of proper physical appearance. She picks up on things very quickly, too quickly some believe. There seems to be no end to her curiosity, and at times her urge to learn and discover is the only thing that brings her out of the quiet shell she lives in. Vilain has an endlessly creative imagination, and she lives to tell stories or tell others about what she knows and what's on her mind if they will listen.

Much to her foster mother's concern, Vilain also shows signs of being severely OCD. She becomes greatly distressed if something doesn't go the way she expects it to or if anything is changed or out of place. Sometimes she becomes so stressed out that she turns to bad habits to ease her mind, mostly consisting of grooming herself to the point where her skin is raw, shaking/flicking her head and ears, or even humming out loud to herself. Her foster mother hopes she will grow out of this with the right love and nurturing, but for now she tries to coax Vilain into breaking these habits whenever she notices that she is doing it.

Apart from becoming stressed easily, Vilain is also a very emotional little creature, feeling everything to a vast degree and never as a dull edge. When she is happy, she is overwhelmingly ecstatic, and when she is sad she is inconsolable. Some Fawnlings think she is annoying for this reason, but her foster mother is gentle with her and is patient. There is an entire universe full of wonder and compassion inside of Vilain, and all anyone needs to do is just reach out and give her a chance.

History:

Vilain's biological parents were both distraught and horrified when Vilain was born. She was small, oddly-colored with strange white patches, and had a jaw misalignment that gave her an unsettling appearance. They believed she was an abomination, and before Vilain was even a day old, they planned to travel to Glenmore's borders and leave her there to die. How could this unfortunate creature ever find a place in Glenmore, where pale and beautiful was treasured and strange and unheard of made everyone nervous or superstitious. Her parents believed they were doing something good, putting the ugly little fawn out of its misery and telling their close family that Chryssin had had a sickly fawn that died soon after birth. After the night when they left the filly in the hills of Ridgeback Range, they never looked back or wondered about their daughter.

Vilain would have died, either eaten or starved to death if it hadn't been for a passing family wandering around Glenmore. Why they were so far away from the Glenwood, Vilain didn't know, and she never thought to ask. Two parents, a stag known as Farren and a doe named as Stray, with a very young filly named Nyx, who was as dark as Vilain was but without the strange patterns and odd features to mar her appearance.

The two grown Fawnlings couldn't find it in their warm hearts to leave the filly behind once they had found her shivering in the briers, alone and bleating for help. But how could a single doe care for two small fawns on her own? It took a lot to teach two lively souls. Stray was healthy enough, but it took a lot to raise two children, one of which was slightly disfigured and quite distant.

The solution came in the form of Stray's sister, Starra, who was infertile and heartbroken that she would never have a child to call her own. From the time Starra had been a filly, she'd dreamed of being surrounded by her own young and raising as many fawns as she could. Many Glenmore members judged Starra and thought of her as useless or inferior since she could not bear young, and the hind desperately wanted to fit into the herd.

With a solution to Starra's problem and the fawn's, Stray, Farren, and Nyx brought Vilain to her in the dead of night, nervous about what Starra's first reaction would be when asked to foster this fawn. It wasn't easy at first, looking past the filly's unsettling appearance, but Starra's natural motherly instincts and the desire to fit into the herd overcame her surprise and she took Vilain in as her own, promising to raise her no matter what. At least now it would be their little secret, and others would finally believe that Starra was a successful member of the herd, able to reproduce and raise children. Stray promised to stay close so that she could nurse Vilain until she was old enough to be weaned, since Starra could not produce milk on her own. For this reason, Vilain was very close to the entire family and everyone looked out for each other.

The beginning of Vilain's life was not easy, for many found it difficult to get used to her, and more were mean to her because of her misgivings. For weeks, Vilain was silent and kept a low profile, shaking in fear whenever anyone came near her or spoke too loudly. She was clearly badly wounded mentally and emotionally by her parents' abandonment and the way they had treated her before leaving her. But Vilain found a very close friend in Nyx. Though they were both on the lower scale of the Glenmore social status, being commoners and dark-pelted at that, Nyx was a wonderfully friendly soul who had nothing but love to give to her younger "cousin". With gentle persuasion and kindness, Vilain came out of her shell enough for her foster family to get to know her.

Only a teensy weensy bit! I'm kidding. Lol. Poor little Vilain would have no idea what to do with a boy if one talked to her.

I WONDER IF HE'D FALL FOR A DAMSEL IN DISTRESS THOUGH.

HE WOULD PROBABLY RESCUE HER AND THEN BE LIKE "I am going to leave you in the care of this person now because I have other work to do bye now"

:'D

I am sure she will have plenty of stags after her
Because all the USERS like piebalds even if technically in a roleplay they would probably be looked at as odd or undesired, like Vilain is by her parents :c

But if Siv can get like a half dozen glorious girls within a few days, Vil will definitely have many suitors |D
