I took this YEARS ago when I took a trip to Mackinac Island. I think I was about 13 at the time. Something like that. I was there for a whole week. It's a very pretty island... with no cars. Horses. Everywhere you look its horses. And bikes.
I went during the summer. I thought it would be, oh I don't know, normal hot summer weather. But no. I just had to be wrong and pack all the wrong things. It was cold. REALLY COLD. And fudge stores on just about every block. My friend and I walked all over and went shopping, tasted fudge, went to a Starbuks (yep), and even went horse back riding. My aunt didn't want to do that. But her friend did! (My friend's mother)
What else... ah! I bought my first kite there too! (Kinda sad, isn't it?) The lady at the toy store on the island (not much older than me it seemed) was really nice. I got the last pink octopus kite. Still have it. It goes up high when it's windy as hell.
So yeah, it was fun. But that was years ago. Good times.
