And actually yes, Marseille its the French Los Angeles: Its the second biggest city, its next to the ocean, its hot, its full of immigrants (but in this case they are Arabs, not Mexicans)

ja, actually all of California its very Mediterranean. The wetter, the architecture (I mean the one from the 20's and the 30's), the color of the sea and the forms of the mountains...I was thinking on that in Marseille.
But yes, France has that rush side, that acid side. its a contradiction with the glamour side, and that makes it even more interesting.

I'm sorry I haven't replied earlier...

Don't you think it looks like a city is hidden in a City. I mean...especially in this photo...though I think that every city hides another one inside...in every sense of the term. Actually it made me think of "Olinda", where you could see (only "through a whole no bigger than the head of a pin") an hidden city growing slowly in between the cracks of the existent city...In a very abstract way, only people who pay attention to these "cracks" (a bit like you do) are really conscious and can form their identity...

...but I think i'm getting a little too deep in my thoughts right now.haha
