Halloween special! I painted this as a demo for the character design class I teach! The king is the guy riding him, I don't know what the bat's name is.Related content

The thing I love most about this, is how deliberate the bat's posture is/feels. Like, it is a BIG bat, but manages to almost daintily "perch" itself atop the spire. AND STILL look so muscular and intelligent.
It is in the eyes, I say. I absolutely love this, even though the reality of such a mount and its rider are [more than mildly] terrifying to imagine.
Also, that Spyro: Reignited work looks glorious (which is how I got here), and I look forward to playing them when they eventually make it to their PC port. I never played the second game, so its going to be a LOT of old and new nostalgia.
