Description The nature of each God and Goddess varies depending on which region of skayvan land you visit. While most discrepancies have been addressed, this is still merely a collection of the most common stories and do not hold as every skayvan’s individual beliefs.

Behind Every Beating Heart

The soul of the living. Ihlo and his brother Aalo , have been around as long as time. The only thing that existed before them were Eeyah and Ahoh themselves. The land they were born into was in pure chaos, everything fighting with the nothingness surrounding them. Ihlo and Aalo had no knowledge of who or where they were, but they knew entropy had to be calmed.

Aalo first discovered he could calm the forces into permanent form of stars, land, and see. However, there were forces too unmanageable for him to handle. They refused stagnancy and the call of Aalo. Ihlo found a way to manage these forms, to reshape them into living beings; therefore the energy the forces refused to give up could be used in the form of life. From then on Ihlo became the caretakers of these beings. Every insect, animal, and other living being were spirits given a living form through him.

It is largely debated whether plants are of the domain of Ihlo or Aalo, as they are sedentary. Some claim that as plants change and grow, they of course belong to Ihlo, whereas others believe their beauty and gentleness can only be made from the hands of Aalo. Others still believe that they both have a hand in the creation of flora and fauna.

To Follow Him

To follow Ihlo is to value knowledge. As Ihlo gave us our intelligence over other creatures, followers of him look to gain knowledge of the world, to understand the creations of him and the rest of Eeyaho. Followers of Ihlo tend to be scholars and philosophers, who seek to challenge our understanding of the world around us.

His Visible Forms

Ihlo takes the form of a lizard-like creature with feathers of a bird. These creatures in particular are extremely intelligent, and with their thumbs, are able to accomplish many complex tasks. Other than these, Ihlo can be found in any creature whose eyes have the glint of profound understanding.
