Hey! I'm here from ProjectComment , and I'll try to give you some feedback on your drawing. I was drawn to this piece because you used some really cool colours, and I also love the pose! It really highlights the beautiful tattoos very well, and I definitely think it's an improvement from the original by Gmiaoaoo.
On to some advice: to me, it looks like you're kinda new to lineless artwork. Unfortunately, I can't give you a whole lot of advice on that since I'm not exactly good at it - but one thing I feel is super important is to use more colours and contrast than you would in lined artworks. Since you don't have lines to give your drawings shape, you don't get away with nonrealistic shading as easily. I know you said you had trouble with the lighting in this pic anyways so that might be a contributing factor, too. In general, I'd try to push some deeper shades especially on her skin, which looks quite low-contrast atm. Go for some crazy colours if you'd like, but definitely go darker especially on her neck, below her hairline and around the eyes. Also, if you're aiming for a more realistic style, it's a good idea to not have any supersmooth surfaces without any colour variation, because it makes other parts you did shade look out-of-place. You did that beautifully on her back, where you have this nice texture going between highlights and shadows, and I think her face could use a little more of that. Speaking of her face: I think her lips are gorgeous, very well done! But her nose seems way too small. I think it's because of the darker shading on both sides, which kind of narrows it too much. Also, while I like the shape of her eyes, I think some more definition to her lashes would look fab, and adding a bit of glossy highlights to her eyes would make them look more lively. You already did that a bit, but I feel that those spotlights are way more effective if they cover part of the pupil, too. If you'd like to keep it a little toned down, don't go for white, but maybe a pastel blue or very light pink.
Since you said you struggled a bit with the lighting, as you didn't really have a clear lighting source, I encourage you to study goaga 's artworks. Their gallery isn't all that big, but they are super great at drawing lighting. I especially like this piece:Β
Β It has the kind of diffuse lighting situation I think you were aiming for, albeit without the blue tint of course. and the pose is pretty similar too orz
Overall, I think you did a really good job on this one! I'm so in love with they way you drew the tattoos, they look so good! <3 I hope my advice is useful to you ~
