I am not sure where the inspiration for this came from but I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out.I was unsure of how it may look with the coloured roses but I think it was the best choice in the end.
The title is Belle Mort (beautiful death)

I agree, the different colors of the roses were a great choice, they are also amazingly drawn roses, they look flawless.
I love the thorny vines and the color spilling down at the bottom is so pretty, it's my favorite part

I don't really have a way of doing them it's all just random. I just think about how roses look and guess to be honest haha. You're probably much better at them.

I don't use references really but we grow roses in ourΒ
garden so I see them a lot. My memory is pretty good
so I can bring the image to mind if I need to.

I draw roses by starting with a circle and then
adding some petal pattern to the edge of it the adding
random lines within the circle to make it look like aΒ
rose. It is a really weird process when I think about it.

I think I do the same thing, drawing the little middle circle and then adding as many petals as i need
