I am not human.Every err and every slight annoyance
Or disturbance I create is a malfunction
Of a defective creation
Imaginary sins rusting the gears
That which is not human does not know
That it did not choose to be built broken
That it did not choose to be missing some parts
And have too many of others.
It only knows it's purpose
It only knows success
It only knows failure
Doubt is stamped across the circuits
And no amount of bleaches
Or reasons why
Can ever rub it out.
I am not human.
Nor am I divine
I am everything and nothing
That no one wishes to be.
That which is not human
chips away at itself
Desperate to get inside and fix what was broken
Or never there at all.
And that which is not human
Could cry tears of oil and hatred
Until there is nothing left to give.
But still it will err
Still it will malfunction
Still it will never know the subtlety of choice
The plains of normalcy
Or the wings of acceptance.
It will stay, forever burdened
by the manuals after manuals which it has combed through
Trying to find an answer
The missing part
that does
Can not
exist.
