A strong image to express a difficult time. I particularly like how one flower is lit to look like it's dying; the other lit to look in full bloom. That could mean many things, among them: death as a transformation / metamorphosis, or perhaps a representation of the path untravelled, the life unlived. Regardless, it is a satisfying image.

This is simply beautiful..I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know words pale to express the emotions you are feeling but this tribute does great honor. It's a very sincere piece John. The typography, the flowers, the tone and your heart work to make this one of the better pieces you'v created. I too hope that you may find solace through your art and expression of the human spirit. Alone, this is a beautiful piece. Quite serene, yet haunting. Given the sentiment behind it, I'm kind of lost in it. It reminds me of all the people I've lost. Not in a bad way, just kind of melancholic. I obviously didn't know your friend, but all I can say is I'd be more than honored by this tribute. I'd come back to haunt you with a kiss...
