"Not so much time after Top Cat and the gang returned to Beverly Hills to spend time there, they met a young girl who results to be Laverne, the princess of a hidden country named Hummingland. She ran away from her home after being forced to marry a man she doesn't like".
Princess Laverne is the youngest child and only daughter of the King and Queen of Hummingland, a small and hidden kingdom in Europe. She was born on July 6 at her parent's bedroom, instead of a hospital. At that time, her parents were only 28 and 24, and her brother Anglyn was just 4 (about to turn 5). Her presentation ceremony was celebrated three days after she was born. It was on that moment when her father Peter decided to bethroy her to his friend Henery's oldest son, Gustaff, prince from another country.
Little did Laverne know she was marriage-arranged until she revealed her love to Hugh, a raven-haired handsome prince from another place. Her parents told her she was bethroed to Gustaff. Disgusted by this idea, she escaped to the United States thanks to a known friend to Thom Thomson. To avoid her family discovering her, she arrived to Beverly Hills, where Top Cat and the gang are living as Officer Dibble is working on a patch for his family. Amy Vandergelt realized of the runaway princess' existence and gave her a home at her mansion.
At Hummingland, the king denies his daughter's disappeareance and orders his knights to search her. Sadly, no one in Hummingland found the princess. Finally, the princess was revealed at a newspaper interview, when she complained about Gustaff.
Family Backstory: She has an older brother, Anglyn, aged 20, who is married to a duchess. Her real love interest is Hugh, a handsome black-haired prince with a golden heart.
If she appeared in the original series, her voice would be mezzo-soprano and singer Patty Andrews, from the singing group The Andrews Sisters.

Kitty Glitter wore Laverne's princess gown in Top Cat and the Beverly Hills Cats (at the costume party she attends). Thus, she recognized the princess once the latter came to the Vandergelt mansion as she was rescued by Amy.
Laverne is eight years younger than Amy. At the events of Top Cat and the Beverly Hills Cats, Amy was 16, while Laverne was 8. They didn't see each other until the fugitive princess arrived to Los Angeles.
