She has an internal skeleton made of wood, wire, and bondo filler putty.
I used two books; Anatomy for the Artist [link] to make her skeleton and define the muscle groups, and Atlas of Human Anatomy for the attachment points.
Her 'muscles' are spandex tubes stuffed with polyfill.
So she keeps her shape about the same way you and I do.
