This is for the contest in The topic is angst. Beware of cliche, sappiness and cheesiness~~~

Xia34B is an artificial human created in a lab with chemistry, mechinary, and mixes of genes. He was created by a lonely scientist who lived in his own mansion, all alone. Xia was able to speak, understand, and process information with his artificial intelligence. Indeed, Xia was the Scientist's master piece. (i'm going to address him as "scientist" from now on, ok?)

Xia needed 666 days in the test tube in order for him to be complete. Everyday, Scientist would go and tell him about the outside world and they would chat.

"Love is a wonderful thing" He told Xia. Xia did not understand, "If it's wonderful, then why didn't you program it in me?"

"Because love ...is something that you have to experience. It's not a type of knowledge, it's bond that binds two together." The lonely scientist fell in love with his own creation. He was in a mansion out of no where alone, all he had was Xia. He had moved here because his entire family was killed by bandits, in one night. After that incident, he became anti-social. He was afraid of other humans.

On the 665th night, a few lost bandits came to the mansion. They mercilessly killed Scientist and left with valuables. Using his last strength, Scientist crawled to the test tube. His hand stroked the glass and slid down, leaving a trail of blood on the glass. He was dead. Xia reached out his hand, placed it right in front of Scientist's hand, with only thin glass between them.

"I don't understand." The Scientist's feelings were never returned. Xia couldn't feel. The both of them were left to rot, together.
