Eidolon foaled almost exactly at midnight. Black splash colt; two front socks, two hind stockings; white face with small lip spot, dark nostrils, "eyeliner"; two blue eyes. Birthing was especially painful for Ghost; the baby didn't seem to want to come out front first, and had to be delivered backwards. She resented him for a few minutes, but thankfully instinct took over. You'd never think of Eidolon as a good mother type, but she is.

I suppose we should have seen him coming, but Geist is a bundle of nerves, fire and violence. His athleticism allows him to thrash in all kinds of creative ways when handled, and the burning intelligence he got from mom (we think he's even smarter than Lolo) makes it difficult to predict when he's going to throw his tantrums. Nevertheless, he is physically beautiful and not short of speed, and we'll have to at least try to get him track-safe.
