OUR BOY IS BACK!!!New digital painting for this week! Super happy to draw Howl again, he's my all-time favorite Studio Ghibli character (Along with many others)
But this one was super fun and I got to try out a whole bunch of new stuff.
This is one of the better "going into straight color" without any greyscale as a bottom layer.
But think I'll stick with greyscale first and get the shadow, values, and lighting out before coloring.
I get a better sense of the forms that way!
Do you go straight color after the sketch or do you do greyscale too???
