Major General Armstrong always seemed to have this look like everything in her life was a life or death struggle. And she always looked like she was ready to kill. So maybe, and this is just a thought, you could try playing through a scenario in your mind where a loved relative or a member of your family or significant other has their life in danger. And in this scenario, allow yourself to feel that rage and combine it with the desire to protect them with your life.
I am just thinking out loud and offering a thought, but I think that would allow you to channel a look as fierce and bloodthirsty hers.
