The King of HeartsA knife to the head,
Is as a knife to the heart.
The King of Hearts,
A love-struck fool
Who is brought down by his own hand.
If love that strong can cause demise
Then I too am akin to the King of Hearts.
For love burrows itself within the heart
And never let's go,
Bruising tender flesh with raw emotion.
How many amung us,
Have had bruised hearts,
And wished a knife to the head?
Too many, too many.
And yet we still love,
Despite the bruising clutch.
Why do we cause ourselves this pain?
Why are we all like the King of Hearts,
And long to die?
