Not too outlandish of an idea, I guess. A third party has something you never thought of, so you get some.
One must wonder what would happen if a technologically-adept alien race saw the Magical alien races that seem to constantly attack Earth (and are subsequently repelled).

Dude, that eye. This seems less "Cute little green alien" and more "This girl was designed by the things from Evangelion, and reproduces like the xenomorphs from Alien."
