Thomas William "Tom" Selleck (born January 29, 1945) is an American actor, and film producer. He is best known for his starring role as the private investigator Thomas Magnum, based in Hawaii, in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980s). He also plays Police Chief Jesse Stone in a series of made-for-TV movies based on the Robert B. Parker novels. Since 2010 he has appeared as the NYPD Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the drama Blue Bloods on CBS-TV.Selleck has acted a good deal in TV roles such as Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and A.J. Cooper on Las Vegas. In addition to his series work, Selleck has appeared in more than fifty made for TV and general-release movies, including Mr. Baseball, Quigley Down Under, Lassiter and his most successful movie release Three Men and a Baby, which was the highest grossing movie in 1987. I know that he played Jesse Stone in those tv movies, but if an adaptation of "All Our Yesterdays" or probably one of Robert B Parker's greatest books is ever made then Tom Selleck should play older Gus Sheridan. It would be the same role he plays in Blue Bloods but with a twist. Instead of just being a high-ranking police official, he'll be a high-ranking police official in Boston... whose corrupt.

Nice capture Greg, i was reminded of a shot i saw of him sitting in an E type Jaguar sports car many years ago .. he was so tall that it looked like he was in a kiddies car and he had trouble getting out of it and the image is still in my mind after all these years. what a giant of a man. Funny the things we remember lol
