Where it all Began
Theobard was your average keb, one that lived in the forest with his family. He was happy - his parents were kind and they taught him about humankind. The three of them wanted to become a part human society so they learned all they could. Mountains of books were collected and they all learned what they could together, as a family. All of this was fun and exciting, learning what the humans had discovered about biology, mathematics, engineering, and the like. His parents wanted to become scientists and integrate that knowledge with their own and improve the life styles of humans, and perhaps... One day even make it so humans and kebs could live together peacefully. But... That dream was short lived. It was early morning, the family was asleep when suddenly the sound of falling trees and wurring machines filled the air. They ran to escape their dens in a panic. Theo ran as quickly as he could, the fear pounding in his young chest, and electricity filled his body like he'd never felt before as his feet picked up speed. Once he was far enough away he stopped to get his breath... only to look back and realize his parents weren't behind him. He ran back, calling out for his parents... And eventually he found them crushed under a tree. They had been looking for Theo, not knowing where he'd went, and in the confusion and chaos were killed. Theobard mourned, he just wanted to curl up there and die with them, but another keb that lived near by noticed the young boy and carried him away from the machines and the danger. Theo returned a year later only to find out that his former home and the graves of his parents had become a shopping mall. "Aren't there thousands of these?" he'd ask... Yes, there were... His parents were killed, his home was taken from him, over some place that also be found 20 miles away. His life and love ruined so it could be more "convenient" for the humans living near by. Sorrow turned into anger, his eyes turned black and red, and for the first time he felt the hunger known as hatred.
The Keb Behind the Mask
Theobard Thawne is, in the human world, a renowned scientist and engineer. He's helped improve humanity and move science forward into a cleaner tomorrow. He uses much of his money, research, and time making new energy efficient and clean ways to power the world. He also buys up land, to preserve it and leave it untouched by man. Little do the humans know, that he's actually using this land for kebanzus, so they can have safe environment to live in, without the worry of humans coming to disturb them or hurt their land. For kebanzus that want to integrate themselves into the world of humans, he will help them. He'll help them find a job, find a home, show them how to live among humans without causing suspicion, and then let them live their lives. Many Kebanzu's now rely on him for the land and homes he's provided. This has made him not only an important member in human's society but in kebanzu's as well.
Personality wise, Theobard remains very professional with human strangers and peers alike. He refers to most people he meets as acquaintances, or if they're fellows scientist, peers. If he calls you a friend, then you know he means it, as he only says it if he actually feels personally connected to another. Kebanzus are often looked at like family, even if he hasn't met you before, and even if he doesn't actually get along with the individual keb. Siblings get on each other's nerves, and that's how he views it. Humans he's always distant with at first, but over time can win his trust if they show themselves to be "worthy" of his time. Yes, he can be a bit proud, even egotistical at times. Sadly, he has a problem with always thinking he's the smartest in the room, which he'll be sure to remind you of. It's hard to reason with a man that always thinks he has a better answer.
Golden Guardian | Protector of Keb-Kind
The Golden Guardian, his alter ego, is an anti-hero. He steals, hurts, and will even kill humans that he considers a threat to his kind or the world they live in. This is something many Kebanzus would not stand for, and so, Theo keeps his alter ego and powers, a secret. Though the Golden Guardian isn't a second person, it can sure feel that way. While playing the role of GG (golden guardian), he's cold hearted, scary, and uses his speed to vibrate his voice box and make himself sound deeper, louder, and more frightening than his normal voice. Like multiple people are talking at once. Though he doesn't kill anyone without reason, he does kill when he finds it "necessary". When he puts on his costume, it's usually to steal some desired tech he couldn't get by other means, or to send a message to anyone who that threatens his land. To him, humans are many, and it's as easy to kill or replace as it would be killing an ant. Having mostly no remorse for it, and will often reassure the people he kills that their death isn't 'personal'. Just him trying to protect his kind. He doesn't see himself as a bad guy at all, but instead as a guardian, someone willing to do the "hard thing" so other's won't have to.
