Description ...I won' lie. I saw a bandwagon, and hopped right on.
I hope you won't think less of me for making a fan character, but I couldn't resist this time!

I saw a challenge in making the daughter of Yuki and Zero, since it would be so so easy to make her into a mary-sue, I'll add a profile later and see if you think I've succeeded...personally I don't think I have, and plan on tweaking her personality a lot before I'll call her 'finished'.

So I tried to give her marooney eyes, a mixture of her father's purple and her mother's red. I also tried to make her hair darker than Zero's, with a slight tinge of brown/red from her mother's side.

I DESPERATELY wanted to make a character for the day class, since most VK fan characters are night class students, but as it was, she WOULD be a vampire, so it can't be helped which kinda sucks =/.

So here's a little info on her-
Name: Yuzuki Kiryuu
Name meaning: 'Tender Moon' and Kiryuu means 'Drill'
Vampire level: Aristocrat (I THINK, since her mom is a pureblood and her father is a former human...she might well be a level C, common vampire, but I assumed she'd be an aristocrat, not 100% sure ^^')
Age: 16-17
Class: Night Class ¬¬
Vampire abilities: She could PHYSICALLY wield a vampire hunter weapon, since both of her parents can, but she is not trained in using such weapons, and has no skill in combat etc. Other than that I haven't given her any powers, she doesn't really know how to fight.
Height: 160cm (5'3)
Grades: Poor (she takes after her mother)
Family: Father (Zero Kiryuu), Mother (Yuki Kuran), Uncle *though she doesn't know he's her uncle* (Kaname Kuran), Other uncle (Ichiru Kiryuu, deceased), Grandfather (Haruka Kuran, deceased), Grandmother (Juri Kuran, deceased), 'grandfather' (Kaien Cross )
Friends: Keitaro (son of Sayori Wakaba and Kaito, lol crack pairings huh? He's a hunter like his dad ), Kamiko (Senri Shiki & Rima Toya's daughter), and who I'm naming Ichiru for now (son of Maria Kurenai and Takuma Ichijo )
Hobbies: Cooking with her father (though she tends to burn EVERYTHING ), reading, MAYBE horseback riding, I haven't decided if that's too Mary-suish yet , sleeping, eating snacks
Good at: Baking (she can't cook at ALL, she burns everything but she's okay at baking cakes and muffins, everything else burns)
Respects: Her father, 'uncle' Kaname, Kamiko Shiki

Thanks . I didn't purposely name her to sound like her parents (although it ended up sounding that way TT.TT) I was originally going to name her 'Tsuki' because it meant Moon but that's far too mary-suish and used by so many people generally, as well as the VK community ,and I think I also considered another name too (I can't remember now ) so I went for the name 'Yuzuki' since it means 'Tender Moon' which I suppose is a little like Yuki's name 'Tender Princess' but still I didn't intentionally choose it to sound like Zero and Yuki's names .

I was worried since she's really bordering on Mary-sue, so I just prefer to leave her unable to fight well because I think its so so easy to fall into the trap of 'she can weild anti-vampire weapons like her parents' that alone sounds kinda suish, I dunno that's just me .

It's really hard trying to make a Zeki child huh? you're right, getting the balance with her personality sure us hard! Good luck with your own OC . Maybe at some point I'll update my own .

it is a pretty name! and the meaning is awesome!
it is almost impossible making a non-mary-sue Zeki child. if you took traits from both kiryu and Kuran you've got the most awesome vampire girl ever! it'd be impossible making a zeki son non-garry-sue!!!! He'd be Hot as...i can't think of anything hotter than the son of Yuuki and Zero!!!!

Its okay to make her a good fighter. it would be logical that with her kick ass genetics she'd be a born fighter!
Perhaps add a flaw to her fighting, like maybe she go beserk sometimes or be emotionally unstable. like killing people or seeing ALOT of blood can throw her into an unstable, almost pyschotic state. this is what im using for my own Oc, Hana.

She is a good fighter and pretty smart, like her dad. but emotionally she's like her mom. the mere thought of killing someone, even a level-E, terrifies her.
im thinking about adding an incident in her childhood. like seeing a level-E that still had a bit of its humanity left be killed right before her eyes. or maybe seeing a big blood bath of some sort. i don't know.

does hana sound too mary-suish?

Yeah it's super hard! Hehe ye I can't even imagine what a Zeki son would be like! .

I'd have to make her learn over time, I'm sure any child of Zeki would have a natural ability, but I'd make her her learn to make it less suish xD. Wow that sounds cool ^^ I think that sounds good!

She sounds good to me I'm not sure because I don't know much about her, but from what you've told me she sounds ago ^^ if you're worried though if you look up the 'mary-sue litmus test' online you can check ^^ I find that site really helpful .

She sounds like a really neat OC actually! Now typically I'm not a big fan of them...I've tried to like OCs every now and then, but it's rare when I do. But I've gotta say, your's is thought out quite nicely and I really like how she looks/sounds like! Don't worry, she doesn't sound like a Marry-Sue :3

We were talking about labeling and steryotypes. My teacher decided to demonstrate this by chosing people to sit in front of the class and wear hats that had commands on them. The people weren't to know what their specific hat said. They had to interact with one another based on the commands...and let's just say it got real awkward, real fast

I know what you mean, but I didn't want her to be skilled in combat because it may have made her a bit Mary-suish . Perhaps she'll learn when she's older? I haven't got a fixed back story yet

Yeah, i think that she would be an aristocrat as Yuuki's blood flowing within her would be enough to give her that status, well that's according to the official fan book anyway because it goes over that kind of thing.

Same, it's difficult to fit in sometimes...heck, fitting in isn't neccesarily good if it comes at the price of having to give up the things you enjoy.

I think doing things that you like to do is way better

Yes I agree, I've also wanted to fit in and be popular in the past, but now that seems so overrated, being yourself and doing what you enjoy is what matters! At the end of the day, you only have one life, why waste it trying to be something your not when you can enjoy doing what you love?
