Description
Serena went for a walk outside of the village; she was tired from adventuring and
decided to enjoy a moment to herself away from the party. The particular path she
would often take had a notably soft texture that always felt nice under her soles. She
slipped off her shoes and headed off.
Her soles casually hit the soft path, to a regular person they would be practically
inaudible. Way way down on the ground itself, no more than a few inches tall, her
teammates had found themselves shrunken. With each step the earth beneath them
violently shook with no sign of stopping. Despite her leisurely pace, she gained on
the group fast. She left behind deep foot-shaped pits, totally unnoticeable, but all the
more intimidating to a tiny when you’re moments away from being crushed into one.
Tall blades of grass and miniscule clumps of dirt were mercilessly crushed to nothing
within seconds. Serena didn't flinch. Why would she? The miniature world below her
was so unspeakably small and insignificant that they might as well have not been
there! Not even acknowledged by her subconscious. The Luminary stood bravely
before her. It didn't feel right to face off against one of his friends but a situation as
dire as this called for self-defense! Their attempts to call out to the pretty huge Priest
were a miss; not even a Metal Slime would be able to run away in time!
Serena drew near! Her large, smooth, delicate sole now loomed above them. The
anxiety-inducing anticipation was overwhelming. Her heel dug into the path with her
sole closing in on them! Magic and weapons were pitifully useless against her mere
foot, she didn't feel a thing. They tried their best to run away but-
POOOMMMMFFFF!
Her sole came down, pressing firmly into the path. Serena lifted her back foot up to
continue the stroll which put her entire weight upon the group. She was in no way
heavy but even to an insect the slightest force is dangerous. For what felt like forever,
the gang endured her crushingly light step. Fortunately her feet were silky-smooth
and she took good care of them. Her attention to skincare, however, was lost on her
tiny companions as they found her step to be staggeringly smothering. Armour was
like plastic under all this pressure! The gang were embedded deep into the path,
pushed into it as though it was always their place to reside given how effortlessly
Serena squashed them. Finally her other foot was now lifting up off the floor with
each party member tightly secured to her sole. They were unable to move, her initial
impact left them all rather dazed. A few had the benefit of being flattened with their
backs stuck to the sole, they had fresh air every few seconds. Others were not so
lucky. Some were buried face first in her plush foot, only the slightest bit damp from
sweat and the flowery scent of whatever she had washed in prior.
Veronica always considered herself close to her sister, but never this ‘close’. The fiery
Mage had just about accepted that she’d always be cursed to be shorter than her
younger sister, this just threw salt in the wound (salt she could taste!). Veronica knew
Serena was kind and would never tease her about her size; but she couldn’t help but
feel as though her sister was, unknowingly, rubbing it in her face. Literally. Being
squished into the foot muffled her furious outburst which was almost a blessing for
the rest. Not that their position was any better.
The resilient party braced as her foot crashed back down once again. Some
reluctantly took comfort in Serena’s squidgy sole, at least in the few moments it was
off the ground. They had to get used to this for a good while, Serena could be out for
upwards of a few hours when the weather was this nice!
“Gosh, it’s such a lovely day out, I really must take Veronica on this walk!”
So here we have a long overdue request that I raffled away back in November I think? Regardless, I got it done and I think it came out great. I hope you all agree! The short story was also written by a very good friend of mine who wishes to remain anonymous.
Anyway, that is all for now so please enjoy and remember to treat yourself to a nice walk every now and then!
