The Perfect Monastery...Reminds me of a story from India, where the crack/doorway to enter the monastery opens once every fifty years...For a few hours, then closes...

The place seems about to be consumed by an enormous wave, silent, yet steadily oncoming...

excellent! I love the way you used the white
Very symbolic and disquieting, with its phallic form, and such a narrow entrance. Very interesting.

many shall seek and find a wide entrance that leads to destruction, few shall seek the narrow way which leads to salvation...

be yourself Gro', dont think or watch other artists !! work and produce as much as you can, WITH YOUR STYLE AND PERSONALITY, with the nose sticked to the paper and never looking at anything else !! this is the advice of an old person !beleive me ! I know which power you have in your caracter and work, so listen ONLY to yourself, and you'll quickly become more winner than what you already are !!

thank you livia...i will consider this again as words from an oracle...you are right, too much copying of styles leads one to comparative downfall...however you and i will agree of the influences that are undeniable, like for instance using my style to do homage to these great artist...dont worry i'll stay true to myself dear livia, i'll take your advice as a mother

hugs to you

G

I never thought you copy !! I only say not to look too much at other styles or artists, no matter who they are, and this not to influence your own style and also to save your own personality Na na na, I am not an oracle, but an old painter that suggests her ideas and opinions !!

Beautiful textures and I like the composition. Nicely not-quite-symmetrical
