Hawkmoth: I suggest a trade: the Syren Episode for your miraculous.

There's a rather glaring flaw in your plan: she can just beat the shit out of you and free them herself.

Ask yourself this; When has Hawk Moth ever considered the obvious flaws in his plans? He spends his time akumatizing pissed off teenagers instead of hardened, murderous criminals. He's literally told Lady WiFi to force Ladybug to use the one superpower that always defeats his villains instead of just taking her damn Miraculous. For a smart guy, he makes almost nothing but dumb mistakes, so this is not surprise.Β
Then again, Ladybug's been known to not realize the obvious either.Β

Fair point. I mean, Hawk Moth obviously knows where Adrien lives, so...

On the criminals, there's actually a good reason: he doesn't have as much control on his champions as people think, so he doesn't use those. Still, he often does stupid mistakes.
As for Ladybug not realizing the obvious... I think she'll surrender AFTER she beat the crap out of him in rage. Then she'll take it back.

Well, good point. Hawk Moth can hurt his minions to force them to do what he wants, but he's still capable of losing control, since he can't force them into to thinking what he wants (Pixelator, Robustus, Gigantitan, Glaciator, Sapotis, etc).
I don't think Ladybug will surrender after beating the crap out Hawk Moth, though. She's occasionally oblivious, but she wouldn't make a mistake like that. Of course, since Hawk Moth's a capable fighter himself, Ladybug may not beat the crap out of him in the first place. Β Β

By that position, she's likely to kick him in the balls and hit him so hard-and then calm down.
As for the capable fighter... That is relative: a Miraculous doesn't give you the skills, and last I checked he doesn't have the experience Ladybug has.

Well, its never really specified if the Miraculous enhances one's combat prowess, but since Marinette more than likely had no training previously, and after gaining her Miraculous she goes around judo throwing villains, it does seem somewhat possible. The thing is, Ladybug's only really used her yo-yo in long-ranged combat, while Hawk Moth's cane/sword is used for short range combat. And Ladybug is literally standing right beside him...
Another flaw; Hawk Moth could just knock Ladybug out while she's distracted and take her Miraculous without needing to make a flawed deal.Β

For the experience, Marinette did quite a few stupid errors early on, errors she didn't do later. As for the short range... Did you remember what happened in The Puppeteer? She can use that both long and short range
As for Hawk Moth picking the easy solution... When did he ever do that?

Right, forgot about Puppeteer. Ladybug doesn't usually use her yo-yo in short range, so that slipped my mind. As for Hawk Moth, he's shown that he can use the sword hidden inside of his cane for combat during Robustus, in which Robustus turned his lair's defense systems against him, and he had to fight it off. And, even without all his fancy sword tricks, Hawk Moth could literally just conk Ladybug over the head with that heavy cane of his. That'd probably knock her out.

Nope: according to Zag, they don't feel pain. And I doubt Nooroo told Hawk Moth...

Well, there is a huge difference between feeling pain and the effect pain has on a person. If you get stabbed with a knife and you don't feel it, that doesn't mean you're not bleeding and need to be taken to the hospital. Same with Ladybug. If she gets hit over the head like that, regardless of her apparent immunity to pain, she's out.Β
By the way, just where did Zag confirm that Miraculous holders can't feel pain? I've never heard of that before.Β

I know it will have effect, but not as much as Hawk Moth thinks. And that would be followed by a series of debilitating strikes by someone who knows that-assuming she doesn't just strangle him.
