This picture is amazing!
So much stuff to love. First, lets start off with the focus of this piece, Rainbow Dash, soaring ever skywards. The look on her face is pure determination, looking only forwards, looking at the destination and with no attention to what she has already achieved. I could definitely believe this of this pony who is always pushing her boundaries. Her mane streams nicely out behind her, giving an impression of movement and making her face stand out. Finally, I find her body positioning very interesting. She has one hoof pressed forward, leading the way and helping her break through the air in front of her. But the other hoof hangs behind - perhaps I am reading too much into this, but it feels almost like this represents her own doubts of her abilities - her face and her other hoof are fully into going higher than anything else, but this one part of her is questioning, remaining in reserve, not hindering her progress significantly, but still suggesting some slight trepidation. This mere suggestion of internal conflict adds a lot to this piece for me, even if I'm reading too much into it.
Next, your use of color and shape in this piece is excellent. The cloud RD just flew through glows with the blues from the sky as well as fascinating reds and oranges. This adds a lot of interest to the cloud, and forms a nice backdrop to the multi-colored pony. The trails left behind by her wings add a tremendous amount to this piece by adding a feeling of motion, providing a nice, curving, organic feel to her flight, and by showing what she has already accomplished, even if this is as nothing to what she hopes to achieve. And, finally, that cloud above RD also adds a lot by giving her a goal in this picture, something to go above.
There is one slight thing about the picture that doesn't sit well with me - her wings feel a bit off. Part of it is that the tops feel too straight in a piece where everything flows and curves so much. The wings form a very strong diagonal, which takes focus away from the diagonal formed by RD's body and movement. Second, the wings look a little too close to her neck, which feels a bit uncomfortable. The wings themselves are quite good, with great shading that fits in with the piece, and some nice loose definition of feathers, but their position distracts a bit from the real focus of the piece of Dashie testing her limits.
Still, this is a very minor complaint in a piece that is quite phenomenal. This is such a dramatic and wonderful drawing, with great lighting and very good layout. It is amazing, and you should feel just as proud as she will be when she is finally at the top of the world.

Heh, her face kinda looks like "oh crap", or simply screwed up in concentration and effort. Maybe both. Either way, I love that mane. And them colours ain't bad at all. Nicely done.
