WOOWOOOOOOOO ALL ABOARD THE PAIN EXPRESS!! COMMIN THROUGH YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD!Well this was fun, haven't done any sort of battle scene in a looong time. But looks like there's more to come! Here's Kobaar rupping through some random orc camp or something, hope they have fire insurance

spped, tension and motion all seem to be key ingredients in this one, something that the harsh, crude, shamless brush work (hmm, that dosn't sound terribly positive, does it? i mean those things in the best possible way). despite being done digitally, the strokes composing it feel so thick and they do a wonderful job of capturing the fluid trextures of the fire while making the smoke billowing up from it seem really solid. then you've got those few beams of light pericing that dark mass, a very atmospheric touch.
i love the guy's pose. the way the feet are planted and the blurring of the sword (the extream to which you've taken this, having the motion warp its vrey shape compleatly) really makes it look as though he's going to let loose with it. my heart goes out to his burly victim.
