2013 was a really tough year on me. I lost my horse in August from a month long battle with cancer (or what we believe was cancer - about $5000 worth of tests and 4-5 different vet and vet clinics couldn't find anything that would cause all the symptoms he had with the rapid weight loss. This horse was my best friend and meant the world to me and there won't be one quite like him, which it so heartbreaking.
