I'm very intrigued about the title and how it fits into the emotion of the picture. Is the unicorn missing the actual north star, as the sky has long since turned its back on the mythical creature? Or is "North Star" the name of a friend or love that this one can no longer find (or knows that the other has been killed), and will look towards the sky in memory of him/her?
The picture is striking, but it also leaves a bittersweet taste of sadness.

The mane is my favorite part of the picture.
The eye also stands out nicely, too, because most of the rest of the picture uses cooler blue hues.
I think the sky seems a bit dark, and flat though. A bit more contrast by the tree line would have made it a bit more visible.
Some more airbrush shading in the sky would also give it a bit more depth. Given the topic of the picture, though you wouldn't want to make it TOO light, or add stars, though.

I was kinda of going for a very simplistic background as I didn't really want much focus on it. That and I spend a whole 3 minutes on it hahaa.
