There is little doubt in my mind that this horse is feeling sad.
I really like to see horses when they greet each other in the field.

I rather not start a whole debat thing most of the time with people who see them as domestic animals cause I will alwasy see them as wild heheh so 90% I see sadness when they are behind a fence or somebody sitting on there back

It does have a sense of sadness and the emotions are heartfelt just seeing this poor creatures expression.
