Why, being babysat by Peter, of course. He is safe there...isn't he? Just as long as he hasn't had any Red Bull.

I like your art.
Here is a thought, with the Downsizing theme.
What about the conversion was going from "human" to Simpsons world, and the whole "What you mean you changed your mind, and do not want to be Simpsonised?"

That's a cute idea. I'm sure you've seen my pic where Lois gets "Simpsonized." There could even be a sign in the lab saying, "Simpsonizing While You Wait."

I make little cartoon series, but I don't often have the time to finish them. But I did have fun with that one. My mind went back to Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer and his TV show, and I came up with the idea of this first gal being the "Human Whisperer" for downsized humans. Her thing, like his, was to "express dominance" over the miniature humans, so I had Marge plop her thumb down on the little Homer when he misbehaved, and give him little donut treats when he behaved.

Gotcha.
Yeah, I've been kind of busy with my personal life, too, lately.

Oh God, I've been working nearly 60 hours a week for nearly 6 months, and trying to balance it out with lots of commission work. But, because of that, we've been able to help our daughter out financially after graduation from college.

Well, my father dealt with it back in the 1960's, and he had three kids to help raise. But life is full of challenges, I've been in the army, and I've seen that side of life. It takes a lot to keep a Ft. Leonard Wood army man down.

Lisa doesn't need much summer alteration, does she?
And you play GURPS set in Springfield?

Yes! I play GURPS in Springfield! What helps tremendously is that someone out there in computerland has made a very thorough map of Springfield and posted it online. I call my campaign "Springfield Extreme" and I can have anything happen there - alien attacks by Rigelians, monster attacks, anything that you could put into the game. I ran a big psionics campaign with it once. I even made my own blueprint of Moe's Bar for the game. Fun stuff.

And I'm sure she appreciated them. My scuba pic is still in stasis, meaning I can't make the damn thing jell. So perhaps I'll do a few summertime fashion sketches of my own with Lois, Rhonda and Richelle.

Hey, why don't you do that? These things are fun on a bun, and they don't take much time. Yeah, I know how it is, to put it in the words of Isaac Asimov, to have your project get stuck in a rut.

Thanks for the encouragement, good buddy. I will give this notion a try, perhaps this Sunday as this coming Saturday I'm planning another long bike ride now that warm summer weather has finally come to SoCal. But that doesn't mean my scuba girl project is not to eventually get done. I'm just feeling a little frustrated about it right now.

My scuba pic was on hold for months before I finally got it done. The next project I'm trying to get pieced together in my mind is the one where Richy meets Terry.

I'll be very interested in seeing a more detailed picture of Terry. Perhaps he can interact with Stu and Rhonda.

The main concept is that possibly Richy and Terry reach for something at the same time, and their gazes meet. Maybe Richy drops something and Terry reaches down to pick it up for her. In the background are Marge and Lois, who are chuckling at the two.
My main problem with Terry, who's full name is Terry Maldonado, is that I've been drawing him Simpson style. He actually has been the "victim" for a lot of cartoons I've been doing for one of my customers. I want to make him look a little more like Richy, with the chin and the more "Bob" art features.

Does that include the bald head as well? As I mentioned before when you emailed me a sketch of Terry, I said he resembled R. Crumb's "Shuman the Human" www.ronazajac.com/Wallpaper/Sh… . I like your first idea for Terry and Richelle's first meeting: bending over to both reach for some item and their eyes meeting, and with Marge and Lois snickering in the background. Once you've got Terry "fleshed out," then maybe we can both come up with a scenario of him meeting my Stuart and Rhonda.

I'd like to see the bunch of them together at some point. At first though, when Marge and Lois pester Richy about being in love, she adamantly denies it... "He's just a really nice guy, that's all. I'm not in love..." "Sure...we've all heard that one before..."
BTW, we're just about ready to get clobbered by storms, if you want to pull up a radar fox59.com/weather/maps-and-rad… Far from being unwelcome, we really need the rain - we've been dry as a bone for a number of days...

Rhonda would also rag Richy about being in love with Terry. She might say something like, "Yeah, right. C'mon, I'm not blind, you really like him!" And if rain is what you're needing back there in Indiana, then I hope you get plenty of it.

I bet Rhonda would at that.
I drove over to Carmel today, and the grass was almost brown from lack of rain. We needed it. And I got my errands run and was just back home as the rain moved in, so I timed it perfectly. I didn't realize the rain was moving in while I was over there...

Yes, I'm sure Rhonda would say something like that. But she would also encourage Richy. As for getting in out of the rain, the main thing is that you're getting much needed rain. And I hope it brings things to life over there.

It didn't last too long, but it was a soaker. Nan was working at her sister's house in southern Indiana, and I sent her pictures on the cell phone. It was a fun little day off, my first in two weeks, and I enjoyed it. I almost got another commission done as well.
