“Don’t be afraid. I feel it too.” - Kylo Ren to Rey
Finally finished with my very first Reylo fanart! Been toying with the idea of depicting something that would show the two of them being seduced by either side of the force, and thereby drawn towards each other. However, I didn’t it to be overly sexual or overly romantic. For me, Kylo and Rey’s pairing has dark, if not tragic undertones so there’s not much fluff here.

I also toyed around with the colors. Like I mentioned, I wanted them to be seduced by each other opposing sides of the force, which is why you see the red side on Rey and the blue side on Kylo/Ben’s.
To those who saw the original sketches, they both had their eyes open at one point but I had Kylo/Ben close his eyes, as if to shun the Light, while Rey is opening her eyes to the Darkness.
Another inspiration is the supposed Force Bond Kylo and Rey now have after they essentially mind-melded with each other during the interrogation scene, thus Kylo’s hand over Rey’s head.
