One time I saw the CN Tower covered in fog and clouds in such a way that it looked like a grey hamburger. A pity I didn't have my camera on me at the time.

Old meets new. A tried and true concept, but it is really well executed in the case. The way the CN Tower seems to rise out of the old building, out of the fog, and up into the glory of the sky. Very powerful. It's a shame about the temporary fencing and other paraphernaila on the ground.

When I first saw the scene, it reminded me of Cloud City in Star Wars. I took this shot in the mornings, and when I arrived the entire skyline was fogged up. However, as the sun got higher, the fog disappeared rapidly. The entire skyline cleared up in a matter of 5-10 minutes. And this shot was taken during the transition, where the fog was clearing up, but the clearing didn't reach far enough.
I agree with the temporary fencing. I thought about cropping it out, but then the image loses something that I can't really describe in words. It looked kinda weird. I also thought about photoshop'ing the orange colours to something more bland, but I don't believe in altered images. This is what I saw and that's that.

That's a really good reference about Cloud City, now that you mention it! I do agree about the cropping; I think cityscapes (scapes in general) look pretty bad if you can't see the ground. Foggy mornings do make for some good photos though.
