Description OK! Here is the final (for now, until the Epilogue editors reject it and tell me what to fix, ha ha.) Used this stock photo for reference for the face and pose. Used Poser for a little help with getting the foreshortening and perspective correct on the hand.

NOW... that is out of the way... *shuffles through stacks of papers* ...my list of who I owe what art is around here somewhere...

What a gorgeous picture! I love the colors, and the construction of the face and the outstretched hand, and I love her expression, and the design of the dress... it's all just great.

I wonder... would you mind if I made an icon out of this picture, for LiveJournal? I'd credit you, of course. If you don't want me to, naturally I won't, but I figured it was worth asking.

Hey, I saw your work on the neverwinter vault, this one's always been one of my favorites, always thought it was a traditional painting though It's a beautiful portrait, very graceful and flowing, detailed too!

Thanks! I had a lot of fun painting this one. I only wish I'd done it larger so I could have made prints. I'm not sure what you mean by a "traditional" painting. Do you mean not digital?

Wow, that's just excellent! Everything looks great, the pose, the lighting, the anatomy (that hand looks great; I cannot draw hands at all) the whole attitude of the piece, everything. The little touch of the dragon-thinger flying in the background is excellent.

Aw... thanks so much. You flatter me, m'dear. Textures! yes... have I mentioned how much I love the smudge brush? Along with warp/liquify that has got to be the best goodie in painting programs. And do you see my wonderful hand? *points* lol! I musta spent five hours just on the hand!

I keep looking at it wondering if there is anything for the editors to find, and frankly I haven't found much... (though my analysing self isn't that develloped yet).

The only question mark found is the fire dragon .... He does cast light on her left side (our right) but I wonder if it shouldn't be a bit more present (brighter) because that critter is, after all, fairly bright...

LOL... well, of course I still see some things I could tweak more, but apparently the editors agree with you, as it was accepted this morning (YAY!) I just always figure I am going to get rejected on something and that way I will either get exactly what I expect, or be pleasantly surprised!
