So it's neither dark nor stormy (maybe another time). I drew the dragon on a pad of paper at work. What is it about fresh pads of paper that makes them so irresistable to doodle on? Especially graph paper. I love graph paper. Which is absolutely horrible because it means extra hours of clean up once I scan it. *sigh* Oh well. This was lots of hours of Not Looking How I Wanted It To, but eventually I arrived at this coloring for my line drawing. I'm satisfied enough with it to post.Thing-a-Week #1... check.

Have to admit, I'm thankful for the new pad. This piece came out wonderously. The slight curve reminds me of the infinity symbol. The colors have such a calmness to them!

Heya El! Thanks for the comment. I've always liked Koi. A friend of mine when I was little had a Koi pond/water feature in their front garden. The fish would nibble your fingers if you wiggled them in the water.
