Description So this is me second Vermeer reproduction...this time of "Woman With a Water Jug" the original can be seen here [link] you'll see I cropped a good portion of the right side...couldn't find a canvas the right size. This is much larger than the orignal and is in oils....I spent a good portion of my summer working on this one, but it was totally worth it. And as usual, my digital camera pretty much totally altered it....and all of the values on the left side of her bonnet thing were totally lost...might be getting a better picture of it in the future

This is exquisite! You chose a great painting to work from - I'm just starting the same project for my painting class. I'm really, really impressed with EVERYTHING, especially the silver pitcher and tapestry cloth.
By the way, I'm going to MICA too I can't believe I haven't had you on my watch!

sweet...you're like the 4th or 5th MICAn I've come across here, including one of my roomies from last year...not surprising though. What painting class are you in?

My favorite part is undoubtable the table's red cover. Again, you did wonders to imitate the shine of silver, and the whole things looks very professional.

Impressive. Her head looks strange, I think it's because you can't see a hairline. Still, very good job.
