Tensions rose much like the fur on the necks of rabbits who stood on opposing banks. Paws out-stretched and reaching for whatever they could grab. It had been at the sound of their respective leader's war-cry that rabbits began to flood onto a make-shift battlefield. Or rather, onto Buttercup's territory. Screeching, insults, and fury seemed to explode in a plethora of battle noises. Drowning out the sounds of nature. To an onlooker, it was pure chaos, or at least one might assume. Bogweed, entranced by their thought that Occidens was calling for them to take over. All the while Buttercup stood in an attempt to defend their home. Family clashed against family, and fur flew into the air. It would almost appear as though nothing could pause this cry for blood.

Paws seemed to thunder against the ground as each warren swarmed the other. At yet, uncertainty flared between them both. Was this what they were destined to do? Warring with one another at beck and call. Tearing one another apart over earthly desires, it was almost barbaric. But to those born and raised among the valley, it was home. It was only natural. Cries of anger and frustration steadily mounted, growing louder and louder as more rabbits flooded onto the scene. Except they didn't stop coming. From every direction, rabbits poured onto Buttercup's side of the river. North, East, South, and West. Groups of unfamiliar faces surged into the fray. Bogweed presumed they were Buttercup forces, while Buttercup presumed they were Bogweed forces. And yet, it would seem both assumptions were wrong. These rabbits carried no scent known to either warren on their pelts.

Rabbits from both Buttercup and Bogweed bristled as they began to realize these forces were assembling right before their eyes. Fighting slowly seemed to grow quiet, as the over-bearing stench of strangers took everyone by surprise. These unknown rabbits pinned the forces from both warrens; quickly halting the budding war. Their sheer numbers were something to grow wary of, easily doubling that of the Valley's inhabitants combined. The foreign smell was almost overbearing now. Drowning out that of Bogweed and Buttercup; as thousands of rabbits encompassed them. For once, the forces of Buttercup and Bogweed seemed meek.

The new strangers forced their way in-between the warring groups. Creating a path that flowed through it all, much like the river. The air, that previously had seemed alive with sound. Was now stiff. Silence stretched out like a white noise, threatening to suffocate everyone before they ever got their answers. There were of course, the sounds of anger and confusion. But; even that seemed like a faint whisper. Eyes trained on the opening, as these strange rabbits turned their heads expectantly. Who were these rabbits? Where did they come from? How were there so many? These were all questions that began to become repeated over and over among those who called the valley home.

Slowly, those who were pinned down had gotten the hint. Bogweed and Buttercup followed the stares of these strangers up to the top of a hill. Slowly, more figures arose from behind it. At first, many thought it was another wave of rabbits, and terror was evident in their escalating yells. However, there seemed to be only five that arose above the hill. Standing in an odd formation, and overlooking the now quelled fight.

"Children of the sun and moon, welcome, to a new dawn." The voice of five rabbits spoke in unison. As they did, Occidens seemed to back away from Orientem. Shocked murmurs and confusion arose again. As the sun began to peek out again, the five figure's pelts began to stand out. To many, these "strangers" were not strangers at all. Rabbits in Bogweed and Buttercup alike began shouting, calling out the names they'd come to know them by in confusion.
