Battle stretches before the king
Steel screams and death bells ring
Above them all, he stands in gold
Their bodies still warm, his eyes still cold
The battlefield is no place to mourn
Eyes red but dry till victory's dawn
Porcelain skin, heart of flesh
Neither will crack under war's duress
And so he watches still, as seconds and soldiers march on
For he can never bring back those who are gone.
