A super recent short story I came up that I decided to draw out~~
thanks to my cintiq~ the process was much easier and faster~~

not a grandiose story, but a simple and cliche one~ but hey I like it so SUSH~!!

In this C.A.R.E AU, Rai is a freak of nature, a circus attraction titled "Child of the Bird."
Era, a regular farm girl gets to visit her uncle for a summer and got to attend the attraction. She loved all of the attraction, but the Child of the Bird most of all since it inspired her to draw a lot. Having always been inspired by birds and their graceful wings, she would come to see Rai as often as she can, sometimes tying to use him as a reference for her sketches.

Rai, since trapped in his cage and treated as an object most of his life, enjoyed in Era's presence. There were many who came to see him, but only Era seem to come regularly, always eager to see him. Though the relationship was one sided, Rai grew fond of her and he himself anticipated to see Era the next day.

However the end of Summer came and Era had to return back to her place and she bid her final good bye to Rai. Rai did not wanted Era to leave and that strong emotion coupled with his desired to leave triggered something inside of him.

The thing about Rai's wings is actually a protective guardian spirit of his mother in the form of a pair of wings. Whenever Rai dreaded his current situation or was in danger, the spirit will protect him by allowing him to flee from that situation. When Rai strongly felt "I need to get out here, I want to see Era," the Wings grew in an enormous size, breaking the cage and allowed Rai to escape the circus.

The Wings carried Rai nearby Era's family farm. When Rai arrived, the wings disintegrated and Rai became a normal boy (until he was in that tight/desperate situation again). Since Rai was now too far from the Circus, and pretty much had no where to return, Era and her family, allows Rai to stay with them.

and the Story is supposed to continue but for now this is all I have.

One Key concept of this story lies in Rai's Wings.
- it is only a defensive mechanism. When they sprout, that means Rai is distressed and dreads being where he is now.
- The formation of the wings closely tied to Rai's emotion and desire.
- Until he met Era, he mainly used the Wings to escape. The wings always symbolized Rai's distress
- Era was still very fond of Rai's wings, so just for her, he desired to have wings for the first time, not as an escape mechanism, but as a form of inspiration and symbol of hope for the sake of others.
