Space? hmmm..
Interesting, the first thing that came to mind was 2 Cells, and the Blue ship-like objects in each are the nucleus.

A fascinating ring system!  I am not sure whether it is planetary-centered or solar-centered, but my guess is the latter.  Looks like a burst of solar wind coupled with a phase transition over a comparatively limited spatial dimension produced a sort of astrophysical chromatography, resulting in the enormous crystal formations you see here, radially aligned in the ecliptic plane and maintained by (of course) the law of conservation of angular momentum.

It is a similar "sorting out" process, or sifting according to particle mass, that one sees in cirrus cloud formations.

Of course, this natural process orders and concentrates the constituent particles in such a way that mining of valuable ores becomes feasible and economically very valuable.

Which in turn means that wars will be fought over access to this.

Thanks so much ^^. Love your photomanipulations by the way, plus where did you get access to a electron scanning microscope

like it alot, shame you didn't put more time into the blue things, they feel like such an important compositional element but when your eyes arrive there it's like "uh... that was it?"

Yeah I didn't really know where I was going with the blue things, their supposed to be space ships but I havn't really worked out how to draw vehicals yet
