I think there is no such thing as too much Pirates fan - art, so here is my drawing of lovely Elizabeth from Dead Man´s Chest!
After doing the sketch, I made a pause in drawing this one, ´cos I couldn´t get her features right. Then I dared to challenge myself again and here is the result! Not everything is the way it should, but I think now she is at least recognizable

Hi! I used pastel and pencils for the hair and a refillabe eraser cut to a very fine point to lift the highlights. (This eraser is like a pencil with a long round eraser inside.) Hope thta helps!

Oh yes, I've used one of those erasers before but never thought it could get such fine and detailed effects! Might need to see whether I can try that out myself, thank you for the reply.

Yeah I am a bit of a detail lover - in the basic subject of the picture mostly... but i tend not to have the patience for backgrounds

haha.. i don't either. when the human figure part is done I get too excited and willing to finish the drawing. Then the background turns out rough.

I think the background could use some work but Elizabeth looks great.

The background isn´t supposed to be detiled, but out of focus, so I just didn´t do much with it. The blue of the sea is more constant on the original too, the scanner just didn´t get all the colour. So maybe thatsway it seems that way. Thank you!

You just keep getting better and better! I love the colours and the composition. Her face is recognizable, though I think Keira's cheeks are less full, but, frankly I don't care if it looks just like her or not, I like the drawing anyway/more. Keep it up.

Yes, the cheeks and right eye are the things that are not the way they should, but considering how hard she is for me to get right I am quite satisfied with the result too
