yes, it's what has been agreed by consensus to be that 'difficult' third page. i've never managed to get further than the third page in a comic before. either i end it on the third page or i give up. this, however, looks hopeful.i was planning to be clever in avoiding drawing any serious scenery here, because i don't/can't 'do' scenery, but after messing about with the layout for a bit i just sort of thought i'd go for it. if a manky, spooky derelict building is what i wrote in the script, then that's what i draw.
....hm. it came out okayyy, i think. perspective is not my strong point....

Ooo, you do have the "spooky derelict building" thing down. I like the cracked windows. For some-odd reason, I can't draw window cracks. They always come out looking like really skinny trees or bloodshot eyes or a bunch of scribbles because I got sick of trying to draw window cracks and decided a bunch of repressed model citizens went on a wild drunken rampage with highly advanced window-vaporizing ray guns and removed every trace that those windows ever EXISTED! HAHAHA! Take THAT, underdeveloped artistic ability!
Anywhich, WAHOO! Doc Ock's a hero! He's got fankids and everything! Although Tyler kinda deserved what happened what with being a kid with a competitive friend and saying he's not a wussy in front of a huge, abandoned building that looks like it eats kids in Doc Ock costumes for lunch. That said, I REALLY like Tyler's expression in the fifth panel.
A chemistry set? Do I smell foreshadowing?
(by the way, I tried sticking my mind in a jar, but the only way it'd fit is if I scraped off the cerebellum, so I'm waiting 'till I find a bigger jar)

"Free Range Sugar Harvesting..." Hmm... while I may be too old to get away with "Trick or Treating," I think the "Free Range" bit sounds scientific enough that I may be able to do that this Halloween... Anyway, this is SO CUTE and I hope you continue!

The very fact that an abandoned building smells like a chemistry set of all things pretty much guarantees that Tyler will soon come face to face with the genuine article. I can't wait to see it. Will this be as amusing as I'm thinking it will be? Will you completely destroy a child's reality in a manner consistently reminiscent of Vasquez? Will ever speak plainly in comment boxes?
