Description
Lapis Lazuli was a former member of Blue Diamond's Court, who defected to the Crystal Gems believing in Rose's cause. Around the end of the war, Lapis fought alongside Rose and "Imperial" Garnet against Pink and Blue Diamond's forces. The Crystal Gems won, but Lapis was poofed and taken captive in Homeworld retreat and was unaffected by the Corruption Song.
Pink Diamond ordered Lapis's Gem to be placed in a mirror to prevent her from reforming, and so she can learn everything about the Crystal Gems and the Earth that she did not know already.
Lapis was freed by Peridot during her and "Imperial" Jasper's mission to observe the Cluster and used her as a guide. They nullified all of her powers, except flight.
Due to being a Crystal Gem, Lapis was always hurt by Jasper, both psychologically and physically. Peridot protected her from abuse, treats her wounds, and talks to her like a normal person.
When Lapis rejoins the Gems, she, along with Steven, vouches for Peridot to be allowed to join the team.
