Description The monster had descended back to Earth, a Fallen Angel in her own ways, an Outcast, a Rebel. She wandered through the Forest, her home, the home of all her children, her wonderful creations... Almost all of them burned and slaughtered! What had they done to deserve such a fate? It was all that bastard Lucien's fault, and he had payed for it by also being killed in the fires, torn apart by his 'allies'.

Queen slammed her tail against a tree, knocking it over. A tear slid down her face in pain, remembering she was attached to the Forest and its trees. She walked in a circle, since it was difficult to turn around in such a large form. Once she had turned, she lifted the tree back up ad whispered an old incantation, healing the roots and bringing the tree back to full life. It had been so long since a tree had been knocked down, she had forgotten how much it hurt...

Growls distracted Queen from her thoughts, and she roared as something dug into her side. Dyres, large wolf creatures were attacking her. Some were green, some were blue, all were vicious. She swung her tail, bowling over a few but more jumped at her. "You fucking pests!" Her roars echoed all around as she flailed and thrashed about. Her large jaws closed on one, snapping it in half like a brittle twig. Her stomach growled slightly as the blood trickled down her throat.

Screw it. She thought hungrily, tilting her head back and swallowing the dead wolf creature whole. The rest of its pack froze, a few even turned to run. She smashed all of them with a few swift tail swipes and then continued to feast on the corpses.

Dante and Pie had eventually ended up together on the front porch, staring at passing cars. Pie sat on the railing, his legs hanging down and almost touching the plants in front of the porch. Dante was leaning against the same railing, looking behind him.

Pie broke the silence. "How long do you think it'll take?"

Dante looked over at him with dark crimson eyes. "What do you mean?"

"For someone to bring Kenny back." Pie's long fox tail twitched slightly.

Dante shrugged and climbed up onto the railing. He stood up, carefully balanced. "Don't know. I doubt Keisha would be willing to bring him back. And Gabriel is gone too." He stared at the old Red Maple tree in the front yard, the one Natasha affectionately called 'Kenny's Tree', since the black Evernaut had taken a certain liking to it when he first showed up.

"Is good balance a necessity for you pirates?"

"Yes, if we don't want to die." The hedgehog hopped down onto the lawn. "Not many of us are fair swimmers."

Pie couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "And are you a good swimmer?"

Dante gave him an insulted look. "Yes, best on my ship. Although," He looked back at the street. "that's not saying much."

"Then you picked the right person to marry. Natasha doesn't seem very fond of swimming."

Dante shook his head. "Oh no, she likes swimming, just not changing into a swim suit. I learned that when she jumped off the deck of my ship to chase a dolphin."

Pie laughed this time. "Girls like dolphins, and you can't expect much from someone like Natasha."

"Now you tell me."

--

Dead dead dead, you're so very dead. Being dead is fun! You don't have to worry, you can just let go~ A voice whispered to Kenny. "Not when you're in Hell." He hissed angrily, staring up at the sky.

"What?" Tommy gave him a strange look.

Kenny shook his head. "Nothing." He stood up, feeling restless, edgy. If this is what being dead felt like all the time, he didn't want any part of it. "So, have you seen anything odd out here, besides that weird Lucien copy?"

His friend shrugged, poking a giant blue caterpillar with a stick. "Not really. Sometimes I think I see fire, but it's really nothing." The bug flailed around on its back until he put back on its feet. "A few Rogues here and there, but nothing in here is really all that tough. It can only hurt you if you truly fear it."

Kenny decided to change the subject. "Where did that bug come from?"

"Oh, this?" Tommy lifted the bug up on the stick. It fell halfway off, then climbed back up to the top. "It was climbing on your head when you passed out earlier. I wanted to see if it does anything. It doesn't." He dropped the stick with a bored look on his face and stood. "Let's go for a walk." He shoved branches out of the way and hopped out of the fort, landing as gracefully as any Evernaut.

Kenny followed and they set off down a trail, listening for anything odd. "Hey, did you ever see 2 little girls in here? A blue hedgehog and a black and green hedgehog?

"Can't say I have. I did hear giggling once, but that was a long time ago.... I can't even remember what day it is, since there is no night or day here."

"It's sounding more like Hell every minute." Kenny grumbled, his ears drooping slightly. "An- Hey!" He growled angrily as Tommy pushed him off the path and into a tree.

"Shh!" Tommy hid behind the tree with Kenny, who looked very confused. Something was coming, they could hear it. Its footsteps were quiet, but not quiet enough to go undetected.

"Another one?" Kenny hissed in Tommy's ear as another Lucien look-alike wandered past, searching for something... Or someone. "How many are there?"

Tommy relaxed once the Lucien copy was out of sight. "Plenty. But there's only ever one at a time. It just comes back when you kill it."

"How many times have you killed it?" Kenny asked curiously. Tommy had never been much of a fighter when they were young.

The green hedgehog faced him, counting on his fingers. ".... At least 20 times... In the past two months." He smiled proudly. Kenny face-palmed. "What? He starts it."

"Just... Never mind." Kenny sighed. "Now I'm going to be even more paranoid. That thing kicked my ass last time."

"It did." Tommy chuckled, but stopped when Kenny gave him a rare death glare. "Sorry... But at least you can't die again."

"Yes, only put in eternal pain. Fun."

"Stop being so grumpy." Tommy lightly punched his shoulder and smiled. "You need to cheer up. At least you get to see me again."

"True.... Tommy."

"Yeah?"

Kenny looked at the ground. "I'm sorry we left you behind. I thought you would be on of the first ones to get out of there."

There was silence for a moment. "I would have been, but I stayed behind... I stayed to make sure your father died, so he couldn't fuck up anything else."

Kenny looked back up at him. "What?"

"I led some of the.... less obedient aliens right to him. They ignored me after that and attacked him." More silence as time passed as they stood behind the tree, not knowing what to do next. Kenny turned to say something to Tommy, but froze as their lips met for a few brief seconds. Tommy took a step back, and the look in Kenny's eyes let him know that his action hadn't been wanted. The green hedgehog turned and took off, back to the fort, leaving Kenny to stand alone and be horribly confused.

The black hedgehog looked at the ring that wasn't there. His wedding ring was gone... Because you can't be married to the living in Hell, Hell is a lonely place... And Tommy had been alone for almost 10 years.
