Description al'Lan Mandragoran from The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. Been a while since I've done a WOT drawing, and I wanted to try out the new opencanvas. Sorry the background is so poor. It was just meant to be a quick painting, but it ended up taking me about 3 hours.

OpenCanvas 5.1.04. You can watch it being painted at my Portalgraphics Community Page .

Awesome! I think this is great - I love the facial construction and texture.

I'll definitely be learning heaps from your production video!

Opencanvas is great for learning. I've learned so much from other artists on there.

Years ago when reading the WoT was my daily guilty pleasure, you were the one artist that always seemed to capture exactly how I pictured the characters in my head. Even though my addiction to the series has ended, your ability to capture the characters has not! Great work!

Thanks, man. It's been fun getting better over the years, and continuing to go back to these characters.
