Description
In order to celebrate the arrival of a scanner at my place, here's a Ryu Hayabusa portrait with his dragon sword. The piece of paper was too large, I did not wanted to bother my friends in asking them to scan it. So far, I can scan it by myself :-]This was my second drawing of Ryu, done in December 2005. Very nice, but I do agree, the sword's placement is a little distracting. Other than than, I have to say that it is really nice. Definitely favorited.

Ryu's head protector also has a dragon. However in Ninja Gaiden 2, it rather looks like a falcon.

this is one of the things i dont like from the new ryu, looks weird like batman, i prefer if they will change is costume they take futuristic stuff but they copybatman costume, too bad

That's not false. I used to think his costume in NG2 looks too much futuristic, but I guess I'm accustommed now.

That's also a dragon here. However in Ninja Gaiden 2 it seems that his headset looks like a falcon.

Pencil? Nice. I can appreciate the attention to detail, despite not knowing the subject matter (Ryu who?), especially on the cloth parts, which are never easy to shade properly.
I don't care for the sword all that much, but it's not actually *bad* by any means. It's a weak spot because of the relatively sparse shadows and general "afterthought" feeling to it, but if it looks weaker than the rest, it's only because the rest is really well done.

Ryu Hayabusa is the protagonist of Ninja Gaiden games.
It is true that I focused on the cloths and his eyes but not really on the sword. Thanks for the precise comment :-]

J'trouve que tu as bien géré sur le visage et le haut corps, en fait sur le 1er plan, mais dommage pr le manche du katana qui fait bcp plus dessin...
Enfin les contours sont bien renforcé, et de trop vis à vis du 1er plan, enfin tu l'as p-e remarqué (donc ma remarque est inutile ^^")

The detail is very well-done, and the focus is nicely drawn in to the eyes, though the sword's placement distracts a bit. Overall a very well done piece.

oooh il est trop bien!!! vraiment bien dessiné! et t'as de la chance d'avoir un scanner, moi je reve d'en avoir un, pour l'instant je suis obligée de prendre des photos numériques de mes dessins, ce qui explique leur taille énorme... lol

Ca faisait un an que je demandais à mon père de me ramener un scanner, il me disait tout le temps oui mais ne faisait jamais rien, là je l'ai harcelé et il l'a enfin fait XD.
C'est vrai que la quaité de l'image avec un appareil pfoto numérique n'est pas super mais, avec un petit logiciel tu peux arranger ça. Déjà rien qu'avec Paint, tu peux au moins réduire la taille de tes images. Je vais essayer sur un de tes dessins voir si c'est possible de faire quelque chose.

merci c'est gentil, j'ai photoshop je pense que je pourais le faire avec aussi mais je connais pas encore bien le logiciel.
sinon je crois que je vais aussi devoir passer par le harcelement pour avoir un scanner! lol
