Last weekend my friend Gunter died. Completely unexpectedly. He went shopping had a myocardial infarction and this was it. In the last 12 years we worked nearly every day side by side.Now his working placeΒ is empty. Only a flickering white candle on his table reminds us of his joy of life. My way to cope with my sadness is drawing.

In addition to being a beautiful memorial to your friend, this is simply a great piece of art. I love the light on the stone structure and all the foliage and rocks throughout the landscape scene. Really gorgeous painting.
