Y'know, I think I've found the medium for me.
Anyways, a 'somewhat, but not quite realistic looking' Charizard, done in charcoal. ^^ Hope you enjoy!

Aaah that is an awesome charizard. @__@ I really like the shading overall though, it has a lot of depth. You also have a neat way of drawing the flame. The main body looks a little small and oddly round, maybe work on that next time? Otherwise I really like this piece.
