FFF, old Vau is scary one...I would definitely mistake him with noonday witch there in an instant.
And small Mird´ika is so copikla (cute in Mando´a). I love that little cyar´ika...Can I adopt him, please? I want small strill! Please? PLEASE!

From the sound of how his father was and his mother being passive about what his father did, it doesn't sound like it.

I suppose that's why he and Kal have different approaches to their trainees. Kal had a loving father in Munin and treated his clones, especially Omega, like Munin treated him.

Vau doesn't know how to be so loving or see how empowering it can be, so he's strict like his father, but not quite as abusive. His father considered that sort of thing "weak", so to a point, Vau does as well.

yeah. but still i have a feeling like Vau found/had someone like (second)father in mandalorian, even if he never called him like that.

still at least his trainig give a good results - more clones survive than from Kal's training. brutal maybe, but very effective.

*nods*

He probably did find someone willing to adopt him into their clan. A father or sponsor, given that I think Vau was probably in his mid-late teens before he ran away from home and joined the Mandalorians.

Definitely did bring about good results in terms of effectiveness and survival, but I think the point in the difference between Vau and Skirata is that Vau's boys were unable to handle the emotional side of life.

Skirata's boys might have been less likely to survive, but they felt more and interracted better than Vau's.

i think like that too -some mando must be "close" to him enough to help him became a mando.

but i would said that this unable to handle the emotional side of life comes from books, because in games i didn't noticed it. so i would argument with it. this creation is from KT. and Skirata is a mainly characters, so he is almost always show in "glory". so his methods too.

Actually, I recently got ahold of a copy of Republic Commando for PC, and KOTOR I, in a 5-pack "Best of PC" that's out.

Now I can play the game and get a feel for Delta Squad sans-Karen. I only know them by her books, but now I can get another view.

At least when I get a chance to play it. I haven't had a chance yet because of company. We're always doing something, so I'm not bored enough to have time to sit and try it.

But I will. I've been aching to find a copy of those two games for ages.

ah, some people who played at first, weren't satisfed with book-version in 100%

have a good time with game! RC is very cool

KianaTavers-Mereel In reply to hashhaha [2009-07-23 00:29:09 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, I heard that some people who were fans of the RC game were ticked at Karen, stating that she "ruined" the Delta boys.

I haven't played the game yet, so I have no basis. But now I have a copy of the game and a computer that can actually run it, so when I get a chance, I plan on giving it a run.

when you finish game, could you write to me and tell me which one deltas you like more? XD

KianaTavers-Mereel In reply to hashhaha [2009-07-25 23:09:12 +0000 UTC]

Lol, I will, although quite frankly, I'm fond of Sev and Scorch.

Sev's the bad boy you just wanna pounce, while Scorch is the nice guy you wanna snuggle.

But there's also Fixer, too. Poor, neglected Fixer, sitting quiet in the corner.

And Boss, hehehe, I think he's a bit too busy keeping his brothers in line. Needs a gal who can help keep them in line.

But I will tell you after I play the game.

hashhaha In reply to KianaTavers-Mereel [2009-07-29 16:10:55 +0000 UTC]

actually Boss was for me the most difficult person to imagine from deltas. poor lad, keeping safe his brother must be really pain on ass XD

KianaTavers-Mereel In reply to hashhaha [2009-08-04 15:37:36 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Boss, to me, seems like the responsible "big brother" type who has to step in whenever Papa Vau isn't there.

The one who somehow manages to keep the other three in line and not killing each other.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hashhaha In reply to KianaTavers-Mereel [2009-08-04 19:01:32 +0000 UTC]

yep, big brother he is. it sometimes make me think about it like in TMNT. Leo as Boss; Raph as Sev, Mikey as Scorch and Donny as Fixer XD

KianaTavers-Mereel In reply to hashhaha [2009-08-09 16:44:57 +0000 UTC]

Exactly!

Fits perfectly, doesn't it?

Except Skirata's no Splinter.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

hashhaha In reply to KianaTavers-Mereel [2009-08-10 17:15:26 +0000 UTC]

yeah, but Splinter is very calm, like Vau. except moments when they're angry XD

KianaTavers-Mereel In reply to hashhaha [2009-08-10 22:31:49 +0000 UTC]

Calm, yes, but I can't see Splints saying; "People don't bounce" like Vau did.

why not? XD ok, maybe not in cartoons for kids, but i would see it with pleasure

KianaTavers-Mereel In reply to hashhaha [2009-08-13 00:55:56 +0000 UTC]

LOL, yeah, definitely not cartoon fodder, but I could see it happening more in the original Mirage comics.

Those were nice and gritty with plenty of fight scenes you wouldn't get on any kids' show.

ah, i would watch with pleasure TMNT in version for older watcher, with more blood/violent and everything more serious. that could be really a good show...

KianaTavers-Mereel In reply to hashhaha [2009-08-13 23:28:21 +0000 UTC]

You're not the only one. Fans have been wanting that for ages. Something less kiddified ala the 80s series and more like the original comics.

Or even the first live action movie. It had its humor, but was far darker than the cartoon of the day and quite close to the comic.

Even as a "kitten", MLird is still scary. In fact he's less scary in his adult form!

hashhaha In reply to Evolvana [2009-07-14 22:33:14 +0000 UTC]

thanks Mird always is scary, when it's coming about Vau XD it get me wonder - kal always said that Mird is "wild" because Walon made him like that. but i start thinking that if Vau has strill from his childhood, that maybe Mird is little "psycho" thanks for Vau's parents...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Evolvana In reply to hashhaha [2009-07-14 22:41:41 +0000 UTC]

Mird doesn't seem so scaring... at the beginning of Triple zero, maybe, when you know that he scared the young clones... but after in the book, he looks like a "good dog"

But maybe he's psycho too!

hashhaha In reply to Evolvana [2009-07-14 22:48:00 +0000 UTC]

i just remember that Kal and Ordo on beginning of books all time thinking/saying something like that about Mird and Vau. but yep, Mird is sweet after all. but i not sure do i would want to see how strill looks real psycho, or angry...

he can be, like Vau XD
