The idea of the zine is to combine a champion and a fitting flower in an illustration.
The flower I'm using for Swain is gladiolus. It has the meaning for "preparation" and "a warrior's spirit". Each flower represents the information the war strategist's birds have gathered on each foe he faces.

Thank you! Took a few tries to get the concept work with the image's storytelling, but I think it's in a good place for continuation.
I'm trying to finish this and the other flower work by the end of the summer. So excited that they'll be printed and a part of a fanbook!
