Smooth man, I think it was a good call not putting much (if any) white in the face, I feel it would distract from the shiny bolts in his neck. Solid piece!

Thank you, I use Dynamic black for my dark blacks, and I use alla prima grey wash for the lighter tones.

I really like the minimal use of white. Only highlighting where it needs to be, no more, no less.
Also like the hard edges to the brow, lids lip an left (his right) chin. It contrasts nicely with all the soft fades of the head, eye lip creases.
Very nice B&G piece all around.
